The Pursuit of Happiness
Written by, Donaven Clarke

What is the pursuit of happiness?
No we are not talking about the movie that Will Smith starred in. We are speaking on the ideology that many live by…. The pursuit of happiness. Let's break it down. To pursue is to chase or go after an entity in order to obtain it. Happiness is a state of one being happy, this can be depicted by one's expressions of joy. So with these definitions this entails that the pursuit of happiness is the chase to obtain expressions of joys.

What's the illusion?
The illusion is the chase itself. You are utilizing your finite amount of time on this earth to chase a feeling. As long as everyone reading this is human we should all know that feelings come and go. One day you're mad at your father then next week you guys are joking by the grill flipping burgers. One minute you love your career and the next day you question if you chose the correct field. Your goal in life should never be a feeling, material or currency.
What Should I Pursue?
Your pursuit should be bigger than any felling, material and any amount of currency. Something the earth can't supply. Something bigger than yourself. Whether that may be cultivating a large family, starting a company that’ll employ thousands, breaking generational curses. For you to know what you should pursue you MUST grow a relationship with God. He will set you on a path that will leave you fulfilled and your cup full.
